Gig work

We have client work. Graduates get it first.

Dhruvaatma Systems builds software for government bodies, PSUs and private companies. Not all of it needs a full-time team. The small builds, the fixes and the overflow go to people who trained here.

How the work reaches you

  1. 01

    Finish a course

Any programme qualifies. What matters is a portfolio we can put in front of a client, not which certificate you hold. Graduates of the Freelance Developer Bootcamp and Build to Earn tend to be ready earliest, because client work is already part of the syllabus.

  2. 02

    Tell us you want work

One conversation: what you can genuinely take on, how many hours a week you actually have around college or a job, and which kinds of work you want to avoid. We would rather know now than after a deadline slips.

  3. 03

    A brief comes to you

Scope, deadline and fee stated up front, before you commit. You can turn one down and nobody is penalised for it — a graduate who says no to work they cannot finish is more useful to us than one who says yes and disappears.

  4. 04

    You build, we review

Someone here reads your code before it reaches the client, the same way it was read in your Saturday reviews. This protects the client, and it protects you from shipping something you would be embarrassed by.

  5. 05

You invoice, in your own name

The engagement is yours. We show you how to raise the invoice, what to keep for GST, and how to chase a late payment politely. Deliver well and the next brief is usually bigger.

What we expect back

  • Say no early rather than yes and vanish
  • Communicate a slip before the deadline, not after
  • Take the code review seriously
  • Treat the client as yours, because they are

Straight answers

The questions worth asking before you count on this.

Is the work guaranteed?

No, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. Work comes when clients have it. What we guarantee is that graduates of this institute see it first, and that the brief is real and paid before you are asked to start.

What does it pay?

Market rate for the scope, agreed before you begin. It is not a stipend and it is not unpaid 'exposure'. The median first invoice among our freelance-track graduates is ₹12,000.

Do you take a cut?

On work routed through Dhruvaatma Systems, the client contracts with us and you are paid for your part. On work we simply refer to you, you contract directly and we take nothing.

I am still studying. Can I take this on?

Many do. Tell us your real availability during the intake conversation and we will scope briefs to fit it. Exams come first; that is not held against you.
